Lawyer Lady
Last spring I went on a serious series of dates with a lawyer (I told her I wouldn’t hold it against her). She was very nice, seriously beautiful, and very well read. We had a great time for awhile. She was a good kisser. But then something changed: I wasn’t making a move into her pants.
Lawyer lady wondered why. I told her I liked to move slowly, fall in love with a woman’s mind before the body. She did have a very nice aesthetically pleasing body. I wanted to hold off and see where things went before diving into the bedroom. We ended up breaking up because I wouldn’t sleep with her quick enough.
I’m no prude or conservative, obviously, but I don’t want to jump into bed either until I am ready. Apparently, her friends pushed her to break things off. I met them once; they were very hetronormative…like rejects from Sex & The City. If this is what dating is about, count me out.
